James Mtume is in my books a true genius and the brains behind so many exceptional musical moments of the seventies and eighties. Juicy Fruit has to be his greatest commercial moment. The title track was notoriously sampled by BIGGIE but the album actually has got a lot more to offer with several electro funk gems that receives little attention but has got huge DJ potential. This album is worth the money alone from those sexy lyrics and oozing intro of Juicy Fruit so add the other highlight, you can expect to pick up a real treat.
