This is where the story of Golden Ring kicks off. The label spun some incredible recordings and in good order that the cinematic king Peter Thomas holds court on the first volume. Joined by sideman Sten Clift this musically is not the best in the series but kind of a must being the first, at least for sentimental reasons. Do explore all the Golden Ring albums, you will not be dissapointed.
